Line Drawings

These two (also from Saturday, but not in the same style as the others, so they didn't feel right in the same post) came from a different concept. The idea I had with these was to use the pink pen, close my eyes, and draw whatever came to mind. Then, when I thought I had a basic figure down, I opened my eyes, and used whatever I had drawn to lead towards the final pictures here.

I like the seal, though it took a few... adjustments to keep him from looking wrong.

I *really* like this one, it started out as a ram (no joke) and evolved into people.

Again, sorry about the bad picture quality.

Quick Sketches from Saturday the 27th

So Justin and I were hanging out on Saturday (which was a lot of fun by the way), and we spent a lot of time sketching. His preferred method is ink, and his sketches are fabulous... I think he should put some up, but he probably won't want to. Anyways, I brought along my 8-color pen set, and did a few "quick sketches". Only using each pen once, in kind of an impressionist ideal, the sketches were finished pretty quickly. I'm pretty pleased with the first one, but I'm on the fence about the second.

Sorry for the poor quality photos, my camera is on hiatus (aka I can't find the memory card converter to put the photons onto my computer), so all the pictures are from my phone camera (3.0 megapixels, which is not bad, but not as good as my pretty pink camera).

Cailey's Pants

So Cailey put these buttons together in a roboty design, and I'm currently sewing them onto a pair of pants for her. Behold!

Ta-da! Will post pictures when finished, I'm currently 5 buttons in.

Edit (11:50 PM): On the second to last button, my only needle broke. I am sorry, Mr. Robot, your left arm shall remain half-sewn and not finished until Thursday evening. Terribly sorry! Phots will appear then.

Getting Started...

I don't normally do introductory paragraphs, but I feel like I need some sort of explanation somewhere before I just start, so here goes.

This is my third blog, none of which I update frequently enough, and it has a very specific purpose. Here I will post the art that I create, whether I intend to sell it or not, as well as my musings regarding art. I have several other sites and blogs, all of which I will share the links to and purposes behind:

lissadelsol.blogspot.com -- This, called "Rants, Raves, and Randoms" is just my corner of the universe.
jewelrybylissa.blogspot.com -- The equivalent of this blog, but for jewelry rather than art.
lissadelsol.etsy.com -- "Jewelry by Lissa", where I sell my own handmade jewelry
artbylissa.etsy.com -- "Art by Lissa", where I sell my own art
lissadelsol.deviantart.com -- A blog, similar to this one, but with an included community that I love!
And of course, this one! Six in all. A lot, but it keeps me... organized, in a way.

I believe that is all! If you would like to know more about anything, email me or comment!
